Privacy Notice
Version 2026-08-06 / effective August 6, 2026
1. Scope
This notice explains how Clasenda handles information for tutor accounts, learners, and authorized guardians. Tutors decide which learner records they enter and share through their workspace.
2. Information we process
Clasenda may process account details, workspace and learner profiles, schedules, lesson records, homework and feedback, study notes, whiteboard content and media, tutor-recorded payments, support messages, security events, and policy acceptance records.
3. Why we process it
We use this information to provide requested product features, authenticate users, enforce permissions, protect the service, maintain records, respond to support requests, and meet legal obligations. We do not store raw payment card details.
4. Learners and minors
Learner access is created by a tutor. Guardian access requires confirmation that the person is authorized to view the learner's information. Tutors should collect and share only information needed for tutoring.
5. Payments and service providers
Clasenda uses infrastructure, database, object-storage, authentication, email, monitoring, optional AI, and payment providers to operate the service. Paddle acts as Merchant of Record for paid subscriptions and processes buyer identity, transaction, tax, invoice, and payment-method information under its own buyer terms and privacy notice. Clasenda receives transaction references and subscription state but does not receive or store raw card details. Other providers receive only the information needed for their function and are subject to access controls.
6. Retention and deletion
Records remain while the relevant account or tutoring relationship is active and as needed for security, recovery, legal, and financial recordkeeping. Revoking portal access does not automatically delete the tutor's learning records. Deletion requests are reviewed before permanent removal.
7. Security
Clasenda uses workspace-scoped authorization, hashed invitation credentials, encrypted HTTPS transport, private object storage, backups, audit records, and restricted administrative access. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
8. Choices and requests
You may ask to access, correct, export, or delete information associated with your account. Signed-in users can use the feedback tool; portal users who cannot sign in can contact the tutor who issued the invitation.
9. Product analytics and browser choices
Clasenda uses PostHog's EU service for limited product analytics. Browser events are sent only after you allow analytics; a first-party consent choice and anonymous identifier are then stored in your browser. Autocapture, session replay, names, email addresses, lesson or homework text, payment notes, links, and media are not collected. To understand whether core setup works, Clasenda may also send person-less server activation events containing a one-way hashed workspace identifier and bucketed counts under its legitimate interest in improving the service. You can withdraw browser consent below or object to server analytics by contacting access@clasenda.com.
Browser analytics choice
No analytics choice has been saved in this browser.
10. Changes
When this notice changes materially, Clasenda will publish a new version and may request renewed acknowledgement where appropriate.
